In-Person lessons resume with mandatory masks and hand sanitizer

8/18/2020

Hope this finds everyone well.
Just a quick heads up that I'm teaching both in-person lessons and online lessons. If you choose in-person lessons, please wear a mask for all in your party. Hand sanitizer will be available. Please call or text to discuss the many options regarding in-person and online lessons.
Thanks and happy drumming!

Online lessons going well!

Here's my student Laddie taking his lesson. He's doing really great! I'm having a great time teaching Laddie online. We're making progress together!

Online Lesson Tips

4/20/2020

Hey all, are suggestions and tips I've found to come in handy for our online lessons.

1. Charge your devices fully before the lesson. Our lessons will eat up a lot of battery power on your device.

Pro tip: Pick up a USB extension cable from Monoprice.com. You can charge from your wall outlet at a distance while also doing the lesson.

2. If you're using Lightening-only earbuds/phones, make sure they are long enough so you can position your phone far enough away from the camera.

Pro Tip: Pick up a male-to-female extension cable from Amazon. Try for a 6 foot or 10 foot cable.

3. You can use bluetooth headphones during the lesson but I don't recommend it. They may cause extra sound delay and interference during the lesson.

Pro Tip: Use a wired set of headphones where the cable is long enough and goes over the ears (provides more sound isolation)

I'll post more suggestions as I think of them. Happy Practicing.

Drums Lessons and Covid-19 Cornona Virus Update March 2020

3/22/2020

I hope this post finds you all safe and taking good precautions during this very critical time.
Following the CDC, State, and US Gov't recommendations, I will be moving all of our lessons to online format only.

This includes new and existing signups, and will stay this way until things return to "normal."

I am doing research right now to get a proper interactive format happening and hope to be up and running as soon as possible. Hopefully this week. I will provide updates.

What you will likely need for online lessons is:
1. Laptop, phone, or tablet with wifi.
2. Headphones.
3. PDF reader - for lessons material and log sheets etc..
4. Drums or drumpad, sticks, and a music stand.

Hope this helps. Take care and reach out to your friends, family, and loved ones. Wash your hands. Hang in there. We're gonna make it. -RK
